about

While on exile from the band, Dan Perry began writing and recording songs that leaned more country and folk, using mandolins and dulcimers to write songs. One such song was "On a Clear Day" that Perry had recorded on his own. Joe Boylan wrote the lyrics, over dubbed a rhythm acoustic part, his vocals, Walt Mamaluy added some bass and viola.

lyrics

On a clear I can almost see exactly where I left you standing alone
At the bus stop with your hands in your pockets
A smirk on your
Sunglasses in your hair
Can someone just tell me at least
How a Southwest boy ends up in the Northeast?

Are you safe or do you feel lonely
Do the same little things still make you happy
Have you found someone to cheer you up when you're sad
Someone to tell you that things aren't so bad
Do you still skip through the fields?
Are you still chasing your dreams?

You never write and I never call
I don't miss you, I'm just curious is all.
Can someone just tell me at least
How a Southwest boy ends up in the Northeast?
