about

Released on 2004's Keeping it Real.

With Mike Davis gone to Oklahoma, the band reunited with George Wright to create a three guitar attack that they became known from 2004 through 2011. Wayne Lee also replaced Davis on drums and the band focused on a harder sound for their new album KEEPING IT REAL than they had on FARM LIVING although they still had a few acoustic based songs on the album. Airport Road however, was a rocker. An ode to Goshen Park just outside of West Chester, PA the song became a favorite during shows from 2004 through 2007. The album was recorded at Wild Studios in Northeast Philadelphia as well as White Tuxedo studios in Springfield, PA throughout 2004 and was released in the fall. The lineup served as a reunion of Arsenix, a punk-based Southwest Philadelphia band that in 1997 featured Joe Boylan, George Wright, Wayne Lee and Walt Mamaluy. Along with Dan Perry this would be the "classic lineup" of the band that would record three full length albums and an EP from 2004 through 2007.

lyrics

Baseball diamonds cut
Springtime has arrive
By the skating rick
It's great to be alive
At the swing set
I will kiss your lips
Move my hands on down
Rest them on your hips
And the tennis courts
The are always full
And the girls who play
Are so beautiful

There's a park you know
Just off Airport Road

Let's breathe the air
That's so very sweet
Just hanging here
It cannot be beat
And I can't wait
Til the summer's here
We'll sit by our cars
And drink warm beer

There's a park you know
Just off Airport Road
I think we should go
No need to take things slow

So many times that I go there
Forget my worries forget my cares
Smiling faces are all I see
As I dream of you and me

Then I saw your mom
Picking up trash
Things getting thin
Need to make some cash
It was at the end of the runway
And it was such
A beautiful day
